In order to provide a better
print service to the department, we have invested in software that has more
flexibility than our current printing software. All print services will be
placed on our High Speed Department Server ODUM.

acknowledgement (PopUp Window) with details will be presented to you prior to
the job being released to the printer

You can cancel
or print the job after viewing the job details

Posters will
be charged by the inch

You will know
the exact charge for the print job before it is printed
Windows Computers

HOW to setup your PC?
If you do not have an account on ODUM, see EVSC
IT, Rm 335a. (Will)
SET Your computer up to print.
1. Go to Start, RUN
2. Type \\128.143.42.46
Logon Popup should come up
Logon with USERID and Password (Odum Account)
If no POPUP, see EVSC IT. (Will) or follow procedures
outlined HERE
3. In window that opens, double click on the printer that you would like to
have installed on your PC/LT
4. Go to the Folder Named: EVSC-Shared, open folder NEW PRINT MANAGER, copy
file PMP_Authentication_Module.exe to your desk top.
5. Install- RUN that file. Do NOT block File if you get a warning from your
fire wall. "Allow"
NOTE: If your computer does not log into the "AD" DOMAIN at
startup. You will have to perform step #2 prior to printing. You must login one
time, each time the computer is started to create a trust between your
Computer and the Print Server.
This will complete the setup on your
computer. You can now
print to the printers.
Warning:
If you did not install the PMP_Authentication_Module.exe
on your computer your print job will automatically be deleted in the print que.

MAC Computers

Note MAC users get a copy of the AuthenticationModule_MAC from EVSC IT (Will)**

SET Your computer up to print.
Installing a Printer on Mac OSX using LPD/LPR:
1. Run the Printer Setup Utility. This is located within
/Applications/Utilities directory. Within this utility click [Add]
2. A browser will appear showing the shared printers in the network.
Within this dialog, ignore the shared printers listed and click [IP Printer] in
the top section of the dialog
3. In this section of the dialog, choose [Line Printer Daemon – LPD] if
not already selected.
4. Once selected enter in the following pieces of information.
o Address: The IP Address,
128.143.42.46 of the Print Server running Print Manager Plus.
o Queue: The name of the printer
EVSC_BW as it appears within Printers and Faxes on the print server.
o Name: Specify how you want the printer named on the Mac
Workstation.
o Location (Optional): This allows you to describe where this
printer is located
Once all is properly configured, click [Add] to finalize the install.
You will NOT receive a POP up request.

MAC Get a copy of the AuthenticationModule_MAC from EVSC IT (Will)**
OLD INSTRUCTIONS 1. Go to System Preferences
2. Go to Hardware 3. Select Print + Fax
4. Add printer, click on PLUS sign.
a. DO NOT SELECT printer from this window. 5. Select the More Printers... Button
6. At the top of the next window
a. Windows Printing (selected)
b. Network Neighborhood (selected) 7. DOMAIN NAMES should populate the window.
8. Select AD (If you do not see AD, Change the selection from Network
Neighborhood back to Workgroup, then back to Network Neighborhood. AD should
appear. 9. Once AD is selected find the ODUM server and select it.
10. Use your ODUM user ID and PASSWORD, store in keychain. 11. Select the printer.
12. Next you will need to add the printer drivers
Get a copy of the AuthenticationModule_MAC from EVSC IT (Will)**
Once installed on the MAC, you will need to make sure the Authentication Module
is running when you want to print. Or set it up to load at logon.
This will complete the setup on your computer. You can now
print to the printers.
Warning:

YOU ARE NOW READY TO PRINT
POPUP
Menu when you send a print job:
You will get a popup window requesting the PTAO and password for jobs with fees
involved. You should get this password with a PTAO from the account holder prior
to printing.
NOTE: POP Up on MAC computer will be behind all open
windows.
You will get a popup for all other non-fee jobs, so you can review the print
job, prior to it printing. (Right printer...)
The POPUP window will give you five minutes to acknowledge the job or delete the
job. If the counter hits 0 min., the job will delete automatically.
The following information will be displayed in the popup window.
Date
Document Name
Printer Name
Type Print Job.
Total Pages
Job Cost
If a PTAO is required to PRINT, a pull down menu with all the PTAOs will be displayed along
with a
Password Block (Account Password)
Select the correct PTAO.
ENTER the password.

HELP SECTION
When I do start - run, it will not find the server.
Append these DNS suffixes
When I do start-run, the popup will not log in to the server.
MAP your shared drive. Setup with Odum
USERID and PASSWORD.
The Authentication Module will not pop up when I print. Check
your firewall. You need to allow 128.143.42.46 to be TRUSTED.
I can open the Odum folder, BUT I can not get into the EVSC_Shared folder.
