Symantec Live-state desk top recovery software is available for Faculty and Staff  Departmental back up. (Window OS)  This will create a full back up of your computer system weekly. This will give you the ability to recover your  files in case of a hard drive failure.

Grad Students that would like a folder to backup their data files to, contact Will in Rm 335a.

No computer system will be connected to our network for BACKUPS if it does not have Antivirus Software running and a fire wall running on it. This software is provided to you for free as long as you are a member of UVA. (Faculty, Staff, Students.) For help on meeting these requirement you may contact me.

If our drive crashes, you will no longer have a backup of your system. You will have to conduct another FULL backup of your files.
